“Enrique Pastor grew up on the Spanish Mediterranean. His father was an internationally renowned underwater filmmaker and Enrique would often accompany him on assignments. At age seven, he got his first camera and by age ten, he was diving and taking stills of his adventures that included meeting Cousteau.
As he matured his creative sensibility shifted towards fashion and portraiture. In 1989, Pastor moved to New York City to study at FIT. While pursuing his own assignments, Pastor has assisted the photographer Christopher Makos for over six years, gaining extensive experience as a location manager and head assistant on his shoots around the world.
During this time, Pastor also worked as a Digital Tech at Pier 59 and Splashlight in NYC, assisting many prominent photographers on shoots for famous brands such as Bloomingdales, Macys and Eileen Fisher, where he became proficient with Phase One, Canon and Nikon systems.
Pastor lives in Brooklyn, where he photographs prominent Brooklynites. His distinct portraits are soon to be published. He is known around NYC for his takes on fashion, having worked for clients like W.R.K., Nicole Miller, Brooklyn Brigade and Construct among others.”
